Internship
For the final semester of my undergraduate studies (Fall 2020), I interned with Rep. Yvette Clarke. Through this internship, I was given the opportunity to focus on technology policy. My time during this internship consisted of a great deal of research, analysis, and constituent services. I have had the opportunity to deal with the hustle and bustle of the election season. During my tenure with Team Clarke, I have participated in countless hearings with DHS and the FBI; where we have focused on global threats and election security. Most importantly, my time with Rep. Clarke's team has allowed me to understand the connection between technology and policy; as well as experience the impact of governmental relations. This was the most important lesson that I learned during my internship; because in order to better run this nation, there needs to be a stronger connection between policy and private companies.
